The Live Well Online program is different from some other health websites because it contains Learning Modules. There are seven learning modules in total (including the introduction module), which focus on healthy eating and physical activity. The Learning Modules are located on the right-hand side of the screen.
You have the freedom and convenience to complete the modules at your own pace. However, you are encouraged to start with Learning Module One, as each module builds on the last. Also, it is suggested that you print out the workbook and follow along with the activities in each module.
Each module can be viewed with Flash Player. You can download this free program at www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer. To view the broadband version with audio, click on the HIGH option at the beginning of each module. For individuals using a dial-up or a slower internet connection, a version with minimal multimedia is available by clicking on the LOW option at the beginning of each module. For dial-up or "lite" users modules will typically download in two minutes or less, after which there will be no wait to progress through the module.
The Live Well program was developed by Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health, with support of the Waterloo Wellington Regional Cancer Program. Funding was provided by Cancer Care Ontario. The site was designed and produced by Jennifer Croal and Mark Weidmark.
